In my daily internet meanderings, I discovered the One Sentence blog which, as its title indicates, asks you to report a true story in a single sentence. Sort of like haikus, but without the syllable count. Many of them are very poetic, but Hemingway still remains the master:
For sale: Baby shoes, Never worn.
