Homework Assignments Anonymous

We had the first Genetics midterm today.

And because I kept on putting off doing homework, I was up half the night writing up a chemistry lab instead of reading the book or getting much-needed sleep.

If I didn't stand by the principle that if you don't know it by the time you walk out of the classroom, you're not doing it right, I would have been in trouble. Fortunately, I did know what I was doing and managed to answer every question.

But what if it had been a subject I didn't know inside and out?

I have made a decision with Tiny Russian Friend. Like Alcoholics Anonymous or one of those bad diet programs, we have pledged to support each other and keep each other motivated.

From now on, we get to reprimand each other severely if we haven't started on assigned reading, projects, and optional problems by 5 pm the day they are assigned.

We will not get behind. We will be ready. And we will triumph.

Lesson learned, I suppose.

With perhaps around 40 more years on the clock than you I am still learning not to do things that I know may lead to disaster (relatively speaking). Good luck!
