I cannot get over how good that movie is.
Of course, we dressed up. And were the only people dressed up. During the preshow, the Emcee mentioned us ("All those pretty girls in Star Trek costumes sitting in the second row") and picked me to play the captain in a short improv rendition of the Kobayashi Maru. While it was by no means stellar, I had fun and got a couple laughs out of the audience.
And then the movie, my god, the movie.
Just every bit as breathtaking as before.
I recommend it, so, so much. You will enjoy it. The shots are just spectacular, and although I can now spot some weaknesses, the overall movie is so incredibly wonderful and well-done that it doesn't matter.
(And I realize that I now sound like Friend Who Likes Science Fiction. Her style and enthusiasm are so easy to pick up!)

I'm confused! Sounds like a big audience for watching it in front of someone's computer... Or did I miss something.

Sorry for being a bit confusing, I was too excited to pay attention to the fact that I didn't put all the details in.
This was at the movie theater for the release of the new movie. We are going to watch one of the older movies on someone's computer.
