Mystery picture: the answers

Ameise is the German word for "ant." There is a book about ants on the dashboard. This is the campus Antmobile, parked in front of one of the Bio buildings! They have recently discovered a new species of ants in the Amazon rainforest. Yay science!

Also, (as noted by GB) there is a couple of turtles driving the car. Um. I can't explain that one. Let's leave that as a one of the great mysteries of the Universe.

Silly thing is that I know ameise is the German for ant but just didn't connect it with the book. Sometimes the simplest things allude us.

W V = quaries. Perhspa I should have dug deeper.

Unlike GB I have no German so I shall let myself off for failing to spot it.
I love it when a new species of anything is discovered so well done them! Did you know there had been 1068 new species found in the Greater Mekong in the past 10 years! Isn't that totally amazing.

Life is fascinating. There are still thousands if not millions of species to be discovered!
