"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us."-Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot
Have you ever seen anything quite as beautiful as the Earth? Anything quite as complex, quite as alive?
Patterns of dazzling blue and green and brown and white, home to countless myriads of living beings each more intricate and exquisite than the last.
And yet, it is nothing compared to the vastness of the Universe. To us it is everything.
We must take good care of it, it is our only home.
Happy Earth Day!

As an admirer of Carl Sagan (or perhaps I should say of his legacy) I was very keen to make a comment last night before I went to bed. No words came. No words have come this morning either.
By coincidence I have just been 'accused' on someone else's blog of a disregard for the world by living in two places at opposite ends of it.
Makes one think though. I shall doubtless reply.
An amazing picture. How small does the Earth look in the Universe yet it is so vast as we stand upon it.
