Swine flu

All that hype about swine flu is going around.

The University has already sent out six emails. Posters about avoiding contamination have been hung in hallways and elevators everywhere. There is one case reported in the City, and a preschool has been shut down until May 11th.

I don't really know what to think of it and, frankly, don't subscribe to the hype and panic.

The US are well prepared. There are ample reserves of Tamiflu, and they know what to expect.

True, living in a big University does increase the risk of an epidemic exponentially.

Well, we'll see how it turns out. In the meantime, I've got finals to worry about.

It gives the press something to take their minds off other crises - the economy suddenly got better overnight!
