D-day minus a few hours, the house is hectic.
I took Father Dearest to the mall this morning for the first time in his life. He picked out jewelry for Mom (with no assistance!) and gifts for Sis (with some guidance). Today might go down in the annals of History!
(He slightly ruined it by buying donuts instead of bread. Can't be perfect, I guess...)
I am at present up to my neck in wrapping paper and running low on time.
Mom is baking a chocolate-chestnut cake, which is the most delicious thing on Earth. I might post the recipe on here eventually, should I get it translated before the end of the millennium.
Anyway, I was going to post the song that's been running through my head the whole morning, but decided against it because it is slightly bawdy and also it is in French. Plus, it's not Christmas-related at all.
I do wish you a very merry Christmas, though, and a happy Hanukkah and a happy Kwanzaa too, and also a good day, and overall a satisfactory non-denominational capitalist wintertime gift-giving season!
Love,
The Archduchess
