Wanted:

I am resigned to the fact that I may have lost my copy of Shadow Baby forever.

I haven't seen it in years. In fact, I don't think I've seen it since I wrote my summer essay over it in eighth grade. It is quite possible that it got lost on the move back from France. Or, the thought just hit me, left in the room of the house where we stayed the night before taking the plane, where my father made me abandon at least ten books because he said my suitcase was too heavy. I can remember I left The Werewolf Syndrome, a couple Molières, and a copy of Descartes' Pensées, but I cannot remember which others I abandoned. I am terrified that this is what happened.

I miss it. I bonded with that book.

I know how you feel - there are certain copies of certain books that are pretty much irreplaceable for me, such my ancient copy of HARRIET THE SPY.

I hope yours turns up.

Thanks for becoming a follower on my blog, BTW. I really appreciate that...
