The paper is turned in.
The lab is working.
The PCR is... Um. PCR-ing.
The gel should be on it way to being poured (damn! I broke the pattern!)
And the lab crew will take care of the cloning.
All I have to do now is sit in this lab until 6:30 waiting for my PCR to get done, then run a gel and let the nice friendly Doctor take care of the rest. We really owe him our souls. Also the poor UGTA who took care of us and put up with us. I'm sure he hates every minute of it, poor guy, but hey. He's being paid $10.50 per hour by the University for this, so I guess it's only fair.
Film Committee is running "The Dark Knight" tonight, but I don't think I can make it in time after the lab. I haven't eaten dinner yet... Plus, I am exhausted from last night's paper write-upping. Which, by the way, was finished at 1:00 am, and necessitated an entire South American rainforest to print, all 43 pages of it. I'm glad I wasn't using my printer, and also isn't it wonderful that students enrolled in a chemistry class have a quota of 150 pages of free printing per semester at the Chemistry Computer Lab?
I think I will just go to bed early tonight. Early-ish, I mean.
Oh, who am I kidding? I'll go to bed as late as usual (thank you roommie dearest, eh.), but I just won't go to the movie. I'll just see it later... at some point. Yeah. You can tell I'm motivated.
XKCD has been oddly philosophical lately.
