A brand-new year, and a million things to do! This year, I will stop the silly blogging and get back to, you know, actual writing (which is why I started this blog in the first place). That is my main resolution, and I better stick with it, yes m'am!
But also:
-Clean my room. And keep it clean. Starting with that pile of stuff and socks and books on the floor.
-Be generally helpful.
-And also organized.
-Keep deadlines (yeah, something about the sound they make as they woosh by?)
-Be responsible
-De-lurk. (My new mantra: de-lurking is de-lightful!) (Don't quote me, quote Tia.)
-Get. That. Paper. Published. I will research the crap out of those bacterial fellas, then write a profound and meaningful paper about how it doesn't really mean anything.
-Move on to Cephalopods. If I could get to spend the summer poking squids and getting paid for it, that would be the epitome of awesomeness.
This year will be quite productive, yes, I can feel it! (Or perhaps that is only the remains of the drunken debauchery that goes along with celebrating. Yeah, that.) (Make that a not-so-drunken debauchery.) (...Anyway.)
There is quite a lot that needs to be done, so why not do it?

OK, I'm old and I'm British but what on earth is de-lurking??? Whatever it is I wish you luck with it.
You caught me lurking red-handed on your blog!
(Lurking is the habit of reading a blog without commenting or revealing one's presence. Logically, de-lurking is the act of becoming an active reader on a blog. You are making me hold true to this resolution.)
