Run initiated

My, my. The past two days have been incredibly hectic.

I packed my boxes, drove two-thirds of the way to University City, unpacked, cleaned up, spent $150 in books and various required class supplies, designed and organized meal schedules for seven people, went grocery-shopping, and caught up with a good friend I hadn't seen in quite a long time.

In the middle of all that, I didn't have time to post yesterday. I feel quite guilty, but I also realized it may be really hard to post every day this semester. I have an incredibly busy schedule and will be spending inordinate amounts of time doing homework, research, projects, and chores.

...Starting with that load (or three) of laundry tomorrow. (Some people take their dirty laundry home, I take mine to college).

After, of course, the theater class at nine, INAUGURATION!!! at eleven, and biostatistics in the afternoon.

And, at some point, I will have to find a way to sabotage my roommate's television before it drives me nuts.

Tomorrow is my first day of class as well as someone else's first day.

I would like to wish the best of luck to our (almost) President Barack Obama. There is so much to be done, and so many people willing to work together.

Maybe I'm jumping on the bandwagon, but yes, I believe there is Hope.

Glad to know that you've arrived safely. Odd really. Why should one feel like that about someone whom one has never, nor is ever likely to, meet.

Forget sabotaging the television (she'll only buy another) go out and buy some earplugs. They rank as number two in the things I could not do without... must blog about that some time!

Graham, thank you for being concerned about my safety! Even though it's highly unlikely I will ever meet you, it's nice to know someone cares!

Scriptor Senex, I could not live without earplugs either... As she snores, too! I will try to arrange quiet study time with her and wear earplugs the rest of the time!

Oops. My detestation of academe (for me, not for others)is demonstrated by the grammatical error in my first comment. S S would definitely not approve (nor do I for that matter) of such sloppiness. I'll try and do better next time.
